Adult Summer Lesser Sand Plover

Lesser Sand Plover is a common bird along the shoreline but is scarce away from the littoral. Many occur on migration during both spring and autumn as well as large numbers wintering in the area. Birds in non breeding plumage are not easy to identfy but birds in summer plumage birds are easier but less frequent. Today at the Dammam - Al Khobar wader roost I saw two adult summer Lesser Sand Plover in with the hundreds of other waders and amanged to get a few photographs.
