Tawny Pipit - Dhahran Hills

Yesterday and the day before there were a few good birds on the spray fields including a Steppe Grey Shrike, one Daurian Shrike, one Isabelline Wheatear and a Eurasian Curlew which is only the second one I have seen on the 'patch'. This bird had a damaged leg so may have been shot at, but luckily it could still fly and hopefully will survive. There were the first returning Tawny Pipits of the autumn (four) on the scrubby desert area and 13 Northern Shoveller, 13 Garganey, 8 Cattle Egret, five Black-winged Stilt, three Clamorous Reed Warbler, one Great Reed Warbler and a Spotted Flycatcher.
